Advocacy and representation are the cornerstones of LHA's planning and policy development process. The LHA's advocacy staff monitors state and federal legislative and regulatory issues and represents the interests of hospitals before Congress, the Louisiana Legislature, regulatory agencies and in the courts. To be successful as an Association, we must be effective at educating others about the complex delivery system that healthcare providers manage everyday while fulfilling their mission of quality patient care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Our lobbyists are extremely successful advocates and well respected because they understand the many pieces to advocacy and that no one part is more important.
