Celeste D. Smith
Director of Administration & Operations
Celeste is the Director of Administration & Operations and has been a member of the LHA staff for more than 30 years. In her current role, she manages the Association’s support staff. She is also responsible for staffing the LHA, LHA Research & Education Foundation, and LHA Management Corporation Boards and Executive Committee meetings; coordinating the LHA District Forums; maintaining institutional membership records, the Association’s database and dues billings; marketing LHA sponsorship opportunities; and producing the content of LHA's Annual Membership Directory. She is responsible for coordinating maintenance of the Association’s equipment and physical plant. Prior to joining the office of the LHA President & CEO, she spent her first seven years providing support to LHA’s advocacy staff in legal and governmental affairs and finance.
Prior to joining the LHA staff, she worked as the Assistant to the Vice President of Membership at the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce where she coordinated activities of the 730 Club, the Chamber’s membership volunteer program.
